EC3 Confirms Positive COVID Test, Gives Symptoms He Experienced

EC3 was set to face Jay Briscoe at ROH Final Battle on Friday, but was pulled from the bout on December 11.

ROH announced EC3, Bandido, Flamita, and Kenny King were off the card due to COVID-19 protocols. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, EC3 confirmed his positive COVID test and provided an update on how he's doing.

"At this point, I have COVID. I'm at the tail end of it. It sucked a little bit. Some of it wasn't bad. I'm healthy, so I was fortunate. I infected my parents, who were visiting me, whoops. They had to stay longer. I've had no alone time and no solitude, which drove me nuts, but we had a great time together. I'm at the tail end of it and will be healthy, but Ring of Honor caught it via their protocol. What they're doing is working and working well," he said.

When asked how he's doing he said, "I'm a solid 90%. 90% of COVID, I laughed in its face. I've had none of the respiratory issues. It kind of felt like the flu and a moderately bad cold. One day, I might have overdone it on my carb load, or I was sick with COVID, and it attacked my stomach. One day, I had a real bad set of chills. One night, I woke up and had a 10-minute respiratory cough. It felt like I was breathing fire for 10 minutes. I've been fine ever since."

It is unknown when EC3 will return to ROH. He said he hopes to find out if "honor is real" and fight Jay Briscoe in the future.
