Eddie Edwards Says He Wants To Be A Champion IMPACT And Pro Wrestling Can Be Proud Of

Eddie Edwards gives his first speech as the new IMPACT World Champion.

The new champion had to outlast four other men (Ace Austin, Trey Miguel and the returning Eric Young and Rich Swann) in the main event of Slammiversary to become the new champion. Immediately after Slammiversary went off the air, Edwards cut a promo saying he wants to be champion that IMPACT can be proud of.

"You talk about journeys. Life is a journey. My career has been nothing but a journey, a journey that has brought me back to the IMPACT World Championship. I said it, whether everything good or bad, broken bones, broken friendships, everything has led me back to Slammiversary back with my IMPACT World Championship. I am going to be a champion that IMPACT and that pro wrestling can be proud of. I will represent IMPACT to the best of my abilities until I am no longer standing in this ring," Edwards said.
