- Kurt Angle has still never won a one-on-one match since his 2017 return to WWE. He's 0-5 in total, including a couple of live event losses to Baron Corbin this month. He has won a battle royal, however.
- Angle's last one on one win in WWE was against Danny Doring on August 14, 2006 on an ECW live event. His last televised one-on-one win in WWE was against the Brooklyn Brawler on August 1, 2006 on ECW.
- Before Monday, Seth Rollins had been winless in his last six one-on-one televised matches against Dean Ambrose, going 0-5-1.
- Overall, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose both hold records of 7-7-1 against one another in WWE televised matches. It's worth noting they also had a series in FCW in 2011 that resulted in a number of draws.
- R-Truth gained his first United States Championship since 2010 on Smackdown.
- Tuesday was Truth's first championship match since a November 2016 tag title match on a live event.
- Not including the 2016 Royal Rumble, R-Truth's last singles title opportunity was the 2015 Intercontinental Title Elimination Chamber. His last televised one-on-one title opportunity was an Intercontinental Title loss to Curtis Axel in October 2013.
- Based on the way Smackdown played out, only two planned Smackdown matches actually happened. However, there ended up being five falls on the show.
- Every match on this week's Smackdown Live was a top contender match or a title match.
- Even though Shinsuke Nakamura only held the WWE United States Title for two days, he's actually not near the shortest reign. His two day reign is tied for eighth shortest, as Goldberg, Lex Luger, Raven, Steve Austin, Chris Benoit, Terry Funk and Kalisto all had one day title reigns.
- R-Truth's win was the seventh United States title change in the last year.
