Tre' LaMar got to share the ring with a legend at BLP 2 Cold 2 Hold when he teamed with 2 Cold Scoprio in a trios bout.
LaMar has risen up the independent ranks, starting at AIW and now expanding to GCW, VxS, REVOLVER, and even AEW Dark appearances. Scoprio is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but still makes a handful of independent appearances.
Speaking to Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight, LaMar reflected on teaming with 2 Cold.
"It was great. 2 Cold is great. I've met him before, just in the locker room, but never actually got the chance to talk to him. Of course working with him, I got to talk to him a lot more. After the show, I took him to the airport and he was giving me some of the stories from Japan. He's a cool dude, for sure," he said.
Asked what kind of music you listen to whne driving with 2 Cold, LaMar replied, "There was no music being played. It was just us talking and chopping it up."
When it was noted that LaMar got the pinfall in the match, he reveal that Scorpio was originally slated to pick up the win, but he suggested it go to Tre'.
"That was another thing. 2 Cold was supposed to get it, but going into it, he was like, 'I'm going to have you do it.' 2 Cold is on the show, everyone is expecting him to win and get the pinfall, but he's like, 'that does nothing for me. I want you do it.' That was cool of him," he said.
