FinJuice Defeats Guerrillas Of Destiny To Win IWGP Tag Team Titles At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14

The first title change of Wrestle Kingdom 14 has arrived.

FinJuice, the duo comprised of David Finlay and Juice Robinson, defeated the Guerrillas of Destiny to capture the IWGP Tag Team Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Despite Robinson getting hit with a back body drop onto the entrance ramp and interference from Jado, FinJuice was able to answer back and win the title. It was noted by commentary that the title change meant that the IWGP Tag Team Championship has now changed hands for the seventh year in a row.

The new champions' run to the titles began several weeks ago when they won the 2019 World Tag League. FinJuice won the tournament with a 13-2 record (26 points), with one of those losses being from Guerrillas of Destiny. FinJuice won the tournament after an early win over EVIL and Sanada gave them the tiebreaker as those two teams were tied on points.

While the focus of Wrestle Kingdom 14 has been on the Double Gold Dash set to crown the first man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles, Robinson has a chance to make history himself as a double champion as well. Robinson will walk into night two of Wrestle Kingdom as tag team champion and will challenge Jon Moxley for the IWGP United States Championship.
