Finn Balor provides an update.
Fans were surprised ahead of last night's WWE Smackville special when WWE announced that Finn Balor was out of his scheduled Intercontinental Title match against Shinsuke Nakamura with an "injury." Fightful Select reported that Balor was hospitalized with the stomach flu, which is why he missed the event. POST Wrestling's John Pollock went on to report that WWE was hopeful that Balor would be back in time for Tuesday's SmackDown.
Earlier today, Balor posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed.
The caption "Summerslam" would hint that, despite his current condition, Balor will be ready for his WWE SummerSlam match on Aug. 11 against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.
Ali ended up taking Balor's place in the bout against Nakamura. The IC Champion retained his title, defeating Ali with the Kinsasha.
