Mr. Niebla, who has won a number of titles during his many years wrestling for CMLL, has passed away at the age of 46.
It had been announced earlier this week that Niebla died as a result of complications from a blood infection that he had been hospitalized for. CMLL posted the following tweet in Spanish lamenting the wrestler's passing.

CMLL joins the sorrow that the wrestling family feels for the passing of the wrestler Mr. Niebla, who had a distinguished trajectory in the history of this sport as one of its top figures.

Niebla, born Efrén Tiburcio Márquez, had been wrestling since the 1990s, competing for CMLL throughout a majority of his career. Among the titles and accolades that he has won over the years are the CMLL World Heavyweight, CMLL Tag Team and CMLL Trios titles, teaming with the likes of Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Barbaro Cavernario and Negro Casas throughout his career.
