FTR Were Pissed Cody Said They 'Practice Matches' In NXT

Cody not only helped start the rivalry between The Young Bucks and FTR by saying "Fuck The Revival" on Being The Elite, but he may have added extra fuel to the fire.

Appearing on the Jim Cornette Experience, FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) explained how comments by Cody pissed them off and turned the rivalry with the Young Bucks personal.

Cameron Grimes: I Was Told By A High Executive That I Would Always Have A Job In WWE, I Was Released Five Days Later

"(When asked 'who is the greatest tag team), Cody said, 'I believe it's the Young Bucks. The Revival are a great tag team, but they go in and practice their matches for weeks at a time at the [WWE Performance Center] before they have them.' It pissed me off so much," said Dax. "He's trying to shit on our legacy. I've never, in 15 years, practiced a wrestling match. With him saying that, I felt like he was trying to tarnish what we had built up. They took it from 'funny' to making it personal. When we heard that, we felt that's what Nick and Matt thought. That we just practice our matches and we're not as good as them. Whether they believe it or not, they got the residual heat for what Cody said. That's what bothers us."

FTR and The Young Bucks now work in the same company and have already teased a showdown in AEW. FTR say they are under handshake deals with AEW and have claimed they might "get a little rough" with the Young Bucks when the two teams meet in the ring. Harwood & Wheeler are set to make their AEW in-ring debuts against Butcher & Blade on Wednesday's AEW.
