Further Update On Tommaso Ciampa's Injury

Tommaso Ciampa apparently executed the greatest heel turn in years with a torn ACL.

It is being reported by PWInsider that the former NXT Tag Champ has ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, but we don't know exactly how bad it is. He is in Birmingham, Alabama this week to undergo surgery and get a prognosis on his return.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

As reported here, Ciampa injured his ankle at the Highland Heights Live Event two days before "Takeover: Chicago," then injured the knee in the Ladder Match against Authors of Pain. After that match, he turned heel on his partner Johnny Gargano.

At the tapings last week, he delivered a promo--while on crutches--about how when he gets back from injury, he'll be the most dangerous man in NXT.

We can only hope he returns sooner rather than later.
