Gail Kim recently spoke to Main Event Radio about the Netflix TV series GLOW. While she missed out taking part in the first season, she praised Awesome Kong's participation in the show, and also mentioned how Chavo Guerrero Jr. and producers contacted her for the second season:
I heard about GLOW, but I found out a little too late. I kind of made a run of getting a role training the actresses to show them how to wrestle. I heard Kia [Awesome Kong] auditioned and she got the role, and she stole the show. I was blown away, she was so good. I told her 'Girl, you're an actress, you run with that because you're a natural.' For Season 2, Chavo [Guerrero] had the producers bring in myself, Torrie [Wilson], Victoria, and Candice Michelle to talk to the producers to give them stories about what it was like to be a woman on the road.
Torrie Wilson, Victoria, Candice Michelle and Gail Kim were all in WWE during the same period and, with the exception of Wilson, at one time were either the Divas or Women's champion. The second season of GLOW doesn't have a release date, but is currently filming.
