WWE has opened the forbidden door.
The January 21 episode of WWE SmackDown featured a surprise appearance from Hall of Fame Superstar Jeff Jarrett. Double-J had a quick backstage encounter with Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs, where he told Boogs that he plays a mighty fine guitar. After Boogs spelled Jarrett's name, Jeff asked Boogs for his name and then jokingly asked if he could spell it before the segment ended.
Jarrett has been featured on GCW programming as of late and is set to face EFFY at this Sunday's sold-out The WRLD On GCW event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. EFFY had initially declined a bout with Jarrett but had a change of mind after Jarrett attacked Allie Katch last weekend at GCW Say You Will, breaking a guitar over her head.

In addition to a surprise appearance for Jarrett, SmackDown also saw the return of Eric Bischoff.
