Gilbert Burns On Endeavor Buying WWE: It's a Good Chance To Slap Brock Lesnar In The Face

The UFC's Gilbert Burns is excited about Endeavor now owning a majority stake in WWE and says he wants to smack Brock Lesnar.

Endeavor recently announced that they would be acquiring WWE and merging WWE with UFC into a new publicly traded company in a deal worth $21 billion.

Asked about this merger during a press conference ahead of UFC 287, Gilbert Burns says he's looking forward to seeing what both companies can learn from one another and, personally, is interested in the chance to be able to slap Brock Lesnar in the face.

"I think both are huge companies that can help each other build even better marketing for each one. I think UFC can learn so much from the WWE and vice versa, and it's a good opportunity to slap Brock Lesnar in the face," said Burns.

Asked why he would like to slap Brock Lesnar in the face, Gilbert pointed back to Brock Lesnar's confrontation inside the octagon with Daniel Cormier, saying he had no right to push DC the way he did all those years ago.

This refers to UFC 226 when Brock Lesnar stepped into the octagon to confront Daniel Cormier, getting into a physical altercation with the former Heavyweight Champion.

"I never met [Brock]. He's lucky I never met him. I want to slap him because he cannot push DC like that when he came all the way there in the Octagon. I want to slap him in the face," Burns said.
