Displeased with the attention MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) were receiving after winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Grizzled Young Vets (James Drake & Zack Gibson) decided to exact some revenge. Gibson & Drake attacked MSK backstage and "broke the hand" of Lee by stomping down a chair on his hand.
Ahead of their match with Killian Dain & Drake Maverick, Grizzled Young Veterans announced they had to pay a hefty fine for their actions. Fortunately, they picked up the winner's purse their bout against Drake & Dain, scoring the win with Ticket to Mayhem.
MSK defeated Grizzled Young Vets in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
