Heath Slater Returns To WWE Raw Following His April Release, Fights Drew McIntyre

Heath Slater was back on WWE Raw on Monday after being released on April 15.

Slater was a guest of Dolph Ziggler's, who brought back Heath to confront Drew McIntyre. Heath discussed McIntyre's WWE release in 2014 when Heath was the surviving member of 3MB. Heath said that he checked up on McIntyre every day following his release. But when Heath was released on April 15, McIntyre wasn't there for him.

Heath brought up McIntyre's comments on WWE's The Bump in April when McIntyre said he would petition to give Heath a WWE Title shot. Heath wanted his opportunity and egged on McIntyre by slapping him, leading to McIntyre accepting the challenge. The fight didn't last long as McIntyre quickly hit a Claymore for the victory.

After the match, Ziggler and Slater got into things, but McIntyre returned to run off Ziggler and save Slater. With Ziggler gone, McIntyre and Slater embraced.

PWInsider first reported the news that Slater would be making an appearance on WWE Raw.

It is not confirmed if Heath will be returning to WWE full-time. His non-compete clause expires on July 18 and he's been teased to appear in IMPACT Wrestling.
