Humberto Carrillo wants his shot.
Carrillo made his return to WWE this week, helping out Rey Mysterio stave off a vicious attack from WWE United States Champion Andrade -- the same type of attack that left him on the shelf for a month. Now, Carrillo is coming back for more than revenge. He wants a shot at the WWE United States Championship this Sunday at the WWE Royal Rumble.
Carrillo actually came up short when trying to earn an opportunity at the WWE United States Championship last month on Raw, when Andrade took him out of a gauntlet match. He also came up short in his quest to win the title back in October at Crown Jewel against then-champion AJ Styles. He does, however, hold two victories over Andrade.
WWE Royal Rumble takes place this Sunday from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. Fightful will have full, live coverage of the show, including a live post-show podcast.
