Lethal and Taven battled until they could not battle anymore.
In what was scheduled to be the headlining match for Ring Of Honor's 17th Anniversary pay-per-view, Jay Lethal and Matt Taven clashed for the ROH World Championship as the fourth match on the card and the two men wrestled for an hour until the match was called off by referee Todd Sinclair. By way of the 60 minute time limit, Lethal is still the ROH World Champion but the commentary team questioned if Lethal versus Marty Scurll is the official ROH World Title at G1 Supercard seeing as how Lethal did not defeat Taven.
Marty Scurll, who is challenging for the ROH World Title at G1 Supercard made his way out to the ring while Lethal and Taven were recovering after their hour-long match and Scurll picked up the ROH World Title and exited from camera's view with the belt.
