JBL Says Two-Night Royal Rumble ‘Makes Perfect Sense’

JBL shares his thoughts on a two-night Royal Rumble.

Next year’s Royal Rumble is set to take place at State Farm Stadium, Arizona, in February. WWE considered turning this into a two-night event, but as of right now, the show is set to take place over one night.

Speaking on Something to Wrestle With, JBL was asked to share his thoughts on a two-night Royal Rumble. He explained why it would make sense for it to happen.

“I think it makes perfect sense. The Rumble takes so long to have, well over an hour for the one match, and then you have the women’s match as well. Both of them are over an hour. Depending on the year, one’s gonna be a bigger draw than the other but both are big draws. They’re culmination of storylines and also they start the road, as they’ve always done, to WrestleMania so they’re big deals these Royal Rumbles. I think it makes perfect sense to separate the Rumbles from one night to the next and then dress those around with the matches that you want.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, JBL commented on the Avery Styles controversy. Fans can read his full comments here.
