Jeff Hardy's Court Date For DWI Pushed Back Once Again To July 16

Jeff Hardy's upcoming court date for his DWI arrest last year has been pushed back once again.

According to PWInsider, Hardy is now set to appear in Moore County Court in North Carolina regarding his October 2019 arrest for Driving While Impaired has been pushed back to July 16. The reason for the pushback was that all court cases have been pushed back due to court closures stemming from the coronavirus pandemic. It was previously reported that Hardy was supposed to take place on May 11.

Hardy missed nearly a year of in-ring action after suffering a leg injury in April 2019. Jeff and his brother Matt were forced to relinquish the SmackDown Tag Team Titles due to Jeff's injury. Hardy's rough 2019 didn't end there as he was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for public intoxication in July and then arrested and charged with driving while impaired in Moore County, North Carolina in October.

Jeff returned to competition on the March 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, defeating King Corbin in singles action. Jeff did not compete at WrestleMania 36.

In recent weeks, WWE has been airing video vignettes of Jeff's return to WWE from a few years back and his history with substance abuse, but there is now word on when he will return to the ring.
