Je’Von Evans Explains Why Needs Another Match With Oba Femi

Je’Von Evans explains why he needs another match with Oba Femi after their bouts in NXT prior to their main roster runs.

During Evans and Femi’s time in WWE NXT, the pair would cross paths on several occasions, including NXT Heatwave and later, on an episode of NXT with the NXT Championship on the line. Now, Je’Von has explained why he wants another crack at ‘The Ruler.’

While speaking to WrestleRant in a recent interview, Je’Von Evans discussed his history with Oba, while noting that he needs a rematch due to having visual pinfalls on the former NXT Champion.

“That is true. I feel like that is a match that I do need because I just haven’t beat him one-on-one and I haven’t got the opportunity to run it back. Let’s be real. A lot of people don’t know this, but there’s only two people that have pinned Oba longer than three seconds. Brock Lesnar and Je’Von Evans. It’s crazy to think about because every time I pinned him, either the ref got involved like at Heatwave or somebody got involved like Ricky Saints. Everybody knows, man, that I got his phone number. So eventually we can run it back and see what happens.”
