John Cena Jokes That Elon Musk Would Have To Give Up ‘A Whole Lot Of His Fortune’ To Bring Him Out Of Retirement
John Cena elaborates on his “financial suicide” comments.
Earlier this month, Cena made headlines when he said that it would be “financial suicide” for someone to try and get him to wrestle in another match. During an appearance at SpaceCon San Antonio, Cena joked that Elon Musk would have to give up a “whole lot of his fortune” for him to return to the ring.
“I’m going to put this in terms the room hopefully understands. I cannot speak in absolutes, I don’t control that. But I think the only person that can convince me to come back given recent events would be Mr. Elon Musk. He’d have to give up a whole lot of his fortune to do so. So, until he does that, I think I’m going to stay retired.”
Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire earlier this month.
