The main event of NXT saw multiple surprise appearances from outside NXT.
As Mia Yim appeared to win a ladder match against Io Shirai to give her team the advantage at NXT TakeOver: WarGames III, NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray showed to give Shirai a helping hand. Shirai emerged victorious and gave Team Baszler the advantage. After the show, Ray was officially announced as the final member of Team Baszler for the Women's WarGames bout.
But things didn't end there for NXT. With Ray, Shirai and Bianca Belair in the ring, Team Baszler captain Shayna Baszler showed up on the ramp and applaud the three women. That's when SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley appeared on NXT and attacked Baszler.
Both Bayley and Baszler have been at each other's throats for multiple weeks starting with Baszler attacking Bayley on a recent episode of SmackDown. Bayley, Baszler and Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch will face off in a triple threat match at Survivor Series on November 24.
