Kurt Angle Doesn't See Brock Lesnar Leaving WWE Unless Tony Khan Wants To Pay Him $20 Million

Brock Lesnar's WWE career can be divided into two parts, pre-UFC and post-UFC. Arguably, there is nobody more synonymous with Brock Lesnar's initial run in WWE than Kurt Angle.

Recently, Brock Lesnar made headlines when his WWE contract lapsed leading to a lot of discussion and speculation regarding where Brock Lesnar could end up overall.

Speaking with WrestlingInc, Angle weighed in on the Brock Lesnar contract situation and what he thinks it would take for Brock Lesnar to make the jump to All Elite Wrestling.

?[WWE], obviously, they're not going to let him go,? said Kurt. ?Brock's pretty level headed. He doesn't get in any trouble. So there's no reason to fire the kid. He's a tremendous athlete, a tremendous employee. So I think Brock just got tired of doing it.?

Angle continued, ?I don't know. I don't know if he wants to fight again. I don't know if you want to go to another company. I cannot see him going to another company, unless Tony Khan wants to pay him $10-20 million. I don't know, but you never know, but I think Brock should just end his career in WWE. I mean the way they treat him and the way he gets paid, I don't know why he'd not want to just stay. It's really up to him, but I think he wants to fight. I think that's the reason.?

During the media call on Thursday before AEW All Out, AEW President Tony Khan declined to speak in-depth on negotiations with Lesnar but praised his in-ring ability.

?I don't think people talk enough about what a great worker Brock Lesnar is. He is one of the great working big men I've ever seen, one of the great athletes in the history of the wrestling business. I have so much respect for him. But yeah, I couldn't comment on [negotiating with Brock].?

Fightful learned from a source close to the situation that Brock Lesnar's contract negotiations is a subject that comes up yearly but this time, it's taking a little longer to reach an agreement. Learn more at this link.
