LA Knight Never Anticipated He'd Get The Chance To Work With John Cena, Says He's 'Amazing' Backstage

Knight is currently coming off the back of working with John Cena and the rest of The Bloodline. Back at Fastlane, Cena and Knight would team up to take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, with the babyface pairing securing the victory in the tag team bout.

While speaking to Inside The Ropes, Knight was asked what it was like to work with Cena. Knight would admit that he didn't view working with Cena as a possibility in the past.

"It's crazy because again I said this back when I was in NXT and I won the Million Dollar Championship. There are certain goals that I had written out for myself, that I knew were tangible, attainable (and) all that. Then there are certain goals that I didn't even think were things that were available or on the table at the time. So this is another one of those things where I hadn't anticipated me and John Cena would team up to take on one of the biggest things going right now, which is The Bloodline. So you know, a pretty sweet deal." Knight said.

Knight was then asked what Cena was like backstage, with the megastar initially joking that John is a jerk before noting that he is amazing backstage as well as on screen.

"He's a real jerk off screen. Actually. That's the problem. No, no, no. He's been great. He's been amazing actually."

As mentioned previously, Knight is scheduled to face off with Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Crown Jewel. You can check out the latest odds for Crown Jewel here.
