'Law & Otis' Decrees Otis Will Defend Money In The Bank Briefcase Against The Miz At Hell In A Cell

Justice is blind, but can absolutely be bribed.

After weeks of back-and-forth, The Miz and Otis finally met in court on the October 23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown and by the time the jury reached a verdict, we had a new match added to Hell in a Cell.

The Miz had filed a lawsuit against Otis for the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase and negligence weeks ago on SmackDown and despite both men being separated by the 2020 WWE Draft, the law knows no brand separation.

Judge John Bradshaw Layfield presided over the case and allowed for multiple interruptions by The Miz before deciding that he would rule in favor of Otis. However, The Miz would bribe Judge Layfield with a briefcase full of money at which point, JBL decided The Miz and Otis have a match at this Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view and the winner will keep permanent control of the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Below is the updated card for WWE Hell in a Cell:

WWE Universal Championship - Hell In A Cell I Quit Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso

WWE Championship - Hell In A Cell Match
Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton

SmackDown Women's Championship - Hell In A Cell Match
