Lee Johnson was a staple of AEW Dark throughout the days of the global pandemic. After 29 straight losses, Lee Johnson teamed with Cody Rhodes on the February 10th episode of Dynamite and scored the winning pinfall over Peter Avalon.
Following this match, Johnson would cut a promo saying that he owes everything to the Rhodes family for trusting in him. Also following this match, Tony Khan would confirm that Lee Johnson is officially signed to All Elite Wrestling.
