The Lucha Brothers Say They Will ‘Fight To The Death’ To Capture The AEW Tag Team Championship

The Lucha Brothers are ready to take the AEW World Tag Team Championship from Matt and Nick Jackson.

Before AEW even had television, The Young Bucks and The Lucha Brothers had a rivalry that helped solidify the tag team division of the young brand. Now, Penta and Rey Fenix are one Victory away from facing Matt and Nick Jackson at AEW All Out for the Tag Team Championship inside of a steel cage.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, The Lucha Brothers explained what the Tag Team Championships mean to them and what they would be willing to do to get their hands on the gold.

“Matt and Nick Jackson are our greatest rivals, and we have so much history with them in AEW and from the independent world,” Penta says. “We are both brothers, and we all have a passion for wrestling, but there is a difference between us and The Young Bucks. It is not for show. Winning titles means everything to us. We will fight to the death for that championship.

“Our biggest motivation is that we are indebted to all our fans. This time, we will show them it is different. This time, we are better prepared. We will show why we’re the best tag team in the universe.”

Find out if they will get their shot at the gold when they face Jurassic Express on tonight's episode of Rampage. Fightful will have live coverage beginning at 10 p.m. eastern time.

Fightful will also have live coverage of AEW All Out on September 5 which will feature the in-ring return of CM Punk.
