Matt Riddle On NXT Possibly Moving To FS1: The More Exposure, The Better

Matt Riddle discusses potential NXT move to Fox Sports 1 and more.

It's been one year since Matt Riddle sat ringside at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, confirming that he was the newest signing to the brand. Riddle has already become one of the top stars on the brand and could find himself in front of more eyeballs in the near future if the reports of NXT moving to FS1 are true.

“I think the more exposure NXT can get, the better,” Riddle told Simon Hannig of FanSided. “I think both NXT and Raw are both talent-based. I think it’s gonna be good overall. It’s another viewing aspect of professional wrestling and sports entertainment. I think it’s gonna excel. With more eyes and more views, it’s gonna get bigger and better and brighter.”

It's been reported that NXT will not only move to Fox Sports 1, but the show will also expand to two hours. WWE has not officially announced that the show will be moving from the WWE Network.

Despite his rise up the ranks, Riddle is noticeably absent from Saturday's NXT TakeOver: Toronto card. But The Original Bro is in Toronto and still has his eyes set on retiring Brock Lesnar.

“I mean, the goal’s the same, it’s never gonna change,” Riddle said. “I mean, it just makes me want to do it even more. It’d be nice if I could get my hands on him sooner or later but right now, that’s not what’s happening. I’d say it’s probably gonna happen eventually. I’m not gonna stop trying. I think with my work rate and everything else I’ve got going for me, it’ll probably work out. Who knows?”

Riddle will be in the building on Sunday as he is scheduled to be part of WWE SummerSlam Watch Along. Along with Lesnar's match, Riddle will likely be keeping his eye on Goldberg's bout as well given his recent comments about the former WCW Champion.
