Millie McKenzie Expresses Her Excitement About 'Hello Wembley', And Talks Learning From Pete Dunne

Millie is amped up.

Tomorrow the former Defiant Women's Champion Millie McKenzie will be competing in a Triple-Threat match against Toni Storm and PROGRESS Women's Champion Jinny in a bout in-which the championship will be up for grabs at the biggest independent wrestling show in the United Kingdom in thirty years, 'Hello Wembley'.

The show will be live from the SSE Arena and the full broadcast will be released to the public in the days following the show. To promote the event Millie McKenzie spoke with the 'Daily Star Online' about her excitement for the event and possibly becoming PROGRESS Women's Champion.

?I feel privileged to be part of the show. It?s an opportunity that I never thought I?d come across so early on in my career, so I am very grateful. Every female wrestler in the U.K. aims to one day hold the PROGRESS women?s belt, including myself, and winning the belt at Wembley would make it extra special," Millie said. ?I don?t think the girls see me as a threat as I?m younger, and less experienced than both of them. However, I never expected to earn this opportunity, so I?m going to make the most of it and hopefully come away with the title.?

Millie made headlines over the summer when she and the WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne captured the 'Pro Wrestling Revolver' Tag Team Championships. McKenzie credited Dunne and former PROGRESS World Champion Travis Banks as being two guys who she has learned from.

?The standard of British wrestling is better than ever. This motivates more fans to begin training,? she said, "And when you get to train with people like Pete Dunne and Travis Banks on a regular basis, you?ll start to pick things up and learn really quickly.?

The main event of 'Hello Wembley' will feature Tyler Bate challenging WALTER for the PROGRESS World Championship. As the show concludes Fightful will have results posted here on the site.
