Naomi Was Worried She Didn't Have A Job After Usos Came Back Before Her

After being away from WWE for the latter half of 2019, Naomi finally returned at WWE Royal Rumble 2020. Her return came a few weeks after her husband, Jimmy Uso, and his brother Jey returned on WWE SmackDown.

With Naomi and The Usos often being tied at the hip, Naomi was worried about her future when she found out Jimmy & Jey would be returning while she remained at home.

"I thought we would come back together or I would come back before them," Naomi said on Women's Wrestling Weekly"So when they came back and I didn't, I was like, 'Oh shoot. I don't know what's going to happen now. Do they still want me? Do I still have a job?' I'm not gonna lie, I was a little shook. Nothing creatively had been discussed. I didn't know how I was going to come back. Honestly, I find out more from the internet than I probably do at work. It was a surprise to me too. When I did get the call 'okay, you're coming back,' it was go time."

When Naomi finally returned at Royal Rumble, she felt a sense of relief to be back in the ring and hear the fans react to her in a positive way.

"It was such a relief. I am my own worst critic and I get in my head a lot. This is my art, my craft and I'm sensitive about my shit. The worst thing is being gone that long and coming back to no reaction or no one caring. I didn't know what to expect. The Rumble was awesome. By the time I did come out, I just hoped they were with me and I hoped I delivered and performer. The pressure worked out," she said.

Elsewhere during the interview, Naomi discussed her tough 2019 and revealed the health issues that caused her to miss time. You can find her full comments by clicking here
