Natalya is petitioning her newest record.
On the January 14 edition of WWE SmackDown, Natalya faced Aliyah in singles competition. Prior to the match, Natalya bragged about being a three-time world record holder and proclaimed that she would set another tonight for the quickest victory in WWE history.
Before the bell rang, Natalya attacked Aliyah and beat her down to the point where the referee didn't believe she could compete in the match. After insisting she was fine, the match started and Aliyah capitalized on an over-confident Natalya, rolling her up for a lightning-quick victory.
It was then revealed that Aliyah had pinned Natalya in 3.17 seconds, making it the quickest victory in WWE history.
Less than 24-hours removed from the record-breaking moment, Natalya has issued a statement on the matter, saying she will be protesting the result with various governing bodies.
To whom it may concern,
Last night I succeeded in achieving another world record. YAAAAA!
However, the person who also was a tiny part of my wonderful achievement is now trying to take all my credit.
To this end, I have now instructed my assistant to immediately petition the Guinness judges, the Olympic Committee and the Hollywood Foreign Press to have her record overturned. [Assistant note: she has. I will]
I await their responses after they think on it, absorb and reflect.
