New NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions Crowned At NWA EmPowerrr

New NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions have been crowned at NWA EmPowerrr.

Last month, Mickie James announced that the belts were being brought back and new champions would be crowned at the all-women's PPV. The titles were deactivated by the NWA in April 1984 and then sold to the World Wrestling Federation.

In the first of two semi-final matches, The Hex (Allysin Kay & Marti Belle) defeated Hell on Heels (Sahara 7 & Renee Michelle). Backstage, Belle talked about the Dominican Republic's checkered history with the NWA and how after tonight she would be the first Dominican champion that the promotion actually acknowledges.

The second semi-final saw AEW's Red Velvet and KiLynn King defeat the FreeBabes' Miranda Gordy and Jazzy Yang. Hollywood Hayley J sat this one out for the second-generation faction.

Prior to the finals, Madusa came out and joined the commentary team. Once the action kicked off, both teams traded chances, but it was The Hex who emerged victoriously. Kay and Belle celebrated after the match with the titles, which were presented to them by Madusa.
