Dominik and Rey Mysterio have made history as the first-ever father and son WWE Tag Team Championship duo.
Despite a pre-match attack orchestrated and perpetrated by Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, Dominik Mysterio was able to battle back from injury and team alongside his father, capturing his first WWE Championship ever and adding yet another championship to the legendary career of Rey Mysterio.
In the past, Rey Mysterio has been a tag team champion with Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Batista, and Billy Kidman but certainly, he has never had the relationship with any of his former partners as he does with his new tag team championship partner.
