NXT Takeover: Chicago has gained another championship match.
Former UFC fighter-turned NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler will defend her championship against longtime member of the NXT roster, Nikki Cross. The two have feuded over the past several weeks, with Cross coming to the aid of a fallen Dakota Kai, and even stealing Baszler's NXT Women's Championship.

Also confirmed for the NXT Takeover: Chicago is a street fight between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, as well a championshi match that sees Undisputed Era defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against British Strong Style's Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Aleister Black will also put his NXT Championship on the line against Lars Sullivan. The card is currently rounded out by a match pitting Velveteen Dream against newcomer Ricochet.
