The wrestling world was stunned on Nov. 12 when CM Punk made a surprise appearance on WWE Backstage, joining the show as a special analyst. The show is anchored by Renee Young with Booker T, Paige, and Christian working as the regular analysts.
Punk only works one episode of WWE Backstage a month, but his co-worker Paige has nothing but positive things to say about Punk.
"He's so wonderful and I respect him and AJ [Lee]. AJ was one of my favorite people when I got on the road. I didn't really get to talk to Punk until he came back, which was a big surprise to me. I marked out. He was very sweet and respectful. He like helps and guides you when we have production meetings. He's like, 'Maybe you can say this kind of thing.' 'Oh, that's a really good idea.' Don't tell him I told you that. I'm the one who helps him! I made you!" Paige jokingly exclaimed to Seconds Out.
Paige and AJ Lee, Punk's wife, will always be tied at the hip as Paige made her main roster debut against AJ, winning the Divas Championship. Paige also revealed on WWE Backstage that she is most proud of her SummerSlam 2014 performance due to the injuries AJ had coming into the bout and her role in protecting her.
