- AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan brawled on top of hot dogs.
- Shane McMahon celebrated his birthday and hit coast-to-cake as the icing on top of the bash.
- Samoa Joe was not up for facing Mustafa Ali on SmackDown. So he just beat him up instead.
- Andrade "Cien" Almas is now just Andrade. And Andrade picked up a big win on SmackDown, defeating Rey Mysterio in singles competition in what was one of the best television bouts in WWE history.

- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev for the United States Title was announced for the Royal Rumble.
- Buddy Murphy issued an open challenge on 205 Live. And his challenge was answered by the debuting Humberto Carrrillo.
