For Spanish speaking wrestling fans across the world, there may be no wrestler who is as well known to said fans as Rey Mysterio, who is classed as one of, if not the greatest luchadores of all time.
While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Primo Colon was asked about the biggest matches of his wrestling career, pointing to a match he had with Rey Mysterio at 19.
“Well, I was 19 at the time, so I was nervous. I know you can’t cuss here. No, no. It was nervous. It was definitely an eye-opening moment where I realized, all right, this is time. I’ve got to sink or swim, and luckily I was able to swim.”
Primo continued, noting that if you have a problem with Rey, you have got to look in the mirror.
“Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Real humble guy. To me, he’s the nicest guy in the world. I mean, if anybody has a problem with Rey Mysterio, then they’ve got to look at themselves in the mirror. He’s a class act through and through, inside the ring and backstage.”
