Report: AEW Television Deal With Turner Is "Virtually Done;" Weekly Show To Air On TNT This Fall

The wait may finally be over.

Tony Maglio of The Wrap reports that the television deal between All Elite Wrestling and Turner is "virtually done" and is expected to be announced an hour before the Turner Upfronts on May 15. The Turner Upfronts are currently scheduled for 10 a.m. ET next Wednesday. AEW President Tony Khan and other AEW representatives are expected to be part of the presentation at Madison Square Garden.

As has been heavily reported, the AEW weekly show is expected to begin in the fall. No date has been announced. In Maglio's latest report, he states, "Financial terms of the deal are not expected to be disclosed."

Maglio previously stated that AEW could be paying for their time on Turner. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer called that story "false." AEW sources also denied the time buy rumors. You can find more on the AEW time buy situation by clicking here.

On Apr. 11, Maglio reported that AEW and Turner were in "advanced talks" but that the deal was "complex."

Fightful will continue to monitor the story and provide updates as they are known.
