All Elite Wrestling almost added another luchador to their ranks before the global pandemic changed everything.

A new report from Dave Meltzer reveals that, prior to the global pandemic changing everything and making the process of getting a work visa more difficult, AEW was ready to sign Aramis to a contract.

The report notes that Aramis was brought in to meet everyone when they held Dynamite in Indianapolis on November 20, 2019, and was offered a five-date contract to start with, but the pandemic making international travel difficult and the roster becoming so full, plans changed.

In the past, Aramis has worked with PWG, including being involved in the 2019 Battle of Los Angeles tournament. For right now, he is focusing on college until travel becomes easier, according to the report.
