Could Mysterio be making his way to Impact?
It's entirely possible, according to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer noted this morning that Impact was interested in bringing in Rey Mysterio for this next set of tapings that are due to start tomorrow. There is no current deal in place, but the interest is there, and it is a possibility he may be brought in.
This isn't the first time that Impact has tried to bring in Mysterio. There were serious discussions last year between the two parties, with the idea being that Rey Mysterio could face Alberto El Patron at Bound for Glory in the main event. Negotiations fell apart, however, and he wasn't brought in.
Mysterio is not currently a part of any company. In a recent interview, he considered himself an independent contractor, free from any obligations. In the last year he's appeared on Lucha Underground and was a part of the first AroLucha tapings, though he is not scheduled for other bookings.
