Any wrestlers from either Mexico and Canada hoping to head to the United States will have to wait a few more weeks.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the travel ban leaving Mexico has been extended to June 18 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The people that affects is anyone from the Mexican promotion AAA, some of which wrestle for AEW as well. Although AEW hasn?t brought in any AAA talent in a long time, as well as their own two guys living in Mexico, Pentagon Jr. and Jack Evans, the travel ban means that it will take another month before they can go to the United States.
Pentagon's brother Fenix was able to make it to Florida weeks ago to be a part of AEW programming and is scheduled to compete in the Casino Ladder Match at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view on May 23. Fightful will have live coverage of Double Or Nothing.
In addition, the U.S. and Canadian borders will be closed for at least one more month for non-essential travel, so all wrestlers living in Canada who work for an American company will not be allowed to perform in this country for that period.
It had been previously reported that WWE wrestlers living in Canada, such as Robert Roode & The Singhs are currently in Canada and with travel restrictions in place, they haven't been able to make it to Orlando, Florida for the WWE tapings at the Performance Center.
