Report: WWE Begins To Reach Out To Talent For The Second Annual Mae Young Classic Tournament

The hunt for talent has begun.

The summer of 2017 saw the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament take place where the best female talents from all over the world ventured to Full Sail to fight to be called the first-ever winner of said tournament. Names such as Shayna Baszler who is the current NXT Women's Champion made it to the finals of last year's tournament, Kairi Sane was the sole survivor of the first annual Mae Young Classic, and others such as Rhea Rhipley, Jazzy Gabert, Bianca Belair, Tessa Blanchard, and Lacey Evans all partook in the first-ever go-around of the tournament.

It was announced during WrestleMania weekend that there would be another Mae Young Classic and further details regarding the tourney would emerge in the coming months. PWInsider is reporting that the sports-entertainment company has began their search for talent to compete in the second-annual running of the aforementioned tournament. The report notes that the M.Y.C. tapings will commence in August at Full Sail and the field of competitors will be a mix of talent from last year's tournament and new faces.
