Report: WWE Offers Contracts To 20 Independent Wrestlers In United Kingdom Expansion

WWE is trying to sign more wrestlers from the United Kingdom.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has reported WWE offered around 20 wrestlers a contract in an effort to prevent them from joining ITV and to be usable as WWE continues to take part in "global localization" in the United Kingdom. Wrestlers which were mentioned in the report were Toni Storm, Joe Coffey, Dave Mastiff, El Ligero, Travis Banks, Chris Brookes and Eddie Dennis. Meltzer did mention wrestlers like Grado and Will Ospreay as wrestlers WWE could not offer contracts to because of their involvement with ITV's World of Sport

WWE will be holding a tournament in the United Kingdom this summer.

Out of the wrestler listed by Meltzer, Two of the wrestlers have worked with WWE in the past. Toni Storm has experience in WWE at WrestleMania 34 Axxess and the Mae Young Classic. Travis Banks also wrestled at WrestleMania Axxess this year. Most of the wrestlers listed have experience at PROGRESS Wrestling which has had a relationship with WWE.

Fightful Wrestling will continue to monitor any new talent signed by WWE.
