On August 4th and 5th, Evolve Wrestling held two events in two cities with Championship matches on both cards. At Evolve 108 on August 4th, the Evolve Championship and Tag Team Championship were both on the line. In the Tag Team Championship match, Stokely Hathaway escorted the tag team champions to the ring and the match was part of his feud with Tracy Williams.

Matt Riddle losing his Championship made headlines around the internet as he has been reported to be headed to WWE soon and the title was the only Championship he was holding on the independent wrestling circuit.
