Ryusuke Taguchi & Ren Narita vs. Suzuki-Gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desparado)

The match begins with Narita working over Desparado with a headlock, Desparado gets free and he wrenches away on the arm of Narita. Narita recovers and he also works on the arm of Desparado, Desparado then sends Narita outside of the ring before throwing him into the barricade a few times. Kanemaru gets in on the action and he slams Narita on the arena floor, Desparado gets Narita in the ring and he gets a near fall on a pin attempt. Kanemaru tags in and he slams Narita before attacking Taguchi, Kanemaru would then hit Narita with a back body drop before applying the Boston crab until Narita gets to the ropes.

Narita fights back and Kanemaru kicks him right in the back, Narita recovers and he catches Kanemaru with a drop kick. Taguchi tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposing team, Taguchi nails both of his opponents with multiple hip attacks. Taguchi would then hit Kanemaru with a eries of suplexes for a near fall, Taguchi sets up for a move and Kanemaru nails him with a drop kick. Desparado hits the ring and Taguchi nails him with a hip attack before tagging Narita in, Narita nails Kanemaru with a drop kick before double teaming Desparado with Taguchi. Narita catches Desparado with a belly to belly suplex for a near fall, Narita then catches a charging Desparado with a roll up for a near fall. Desparado recovers to hit Narita with a spine buster before applying the horse collar to force a tap out.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desparado)

Yuji Nagata & Syota Umino vs. David Finlay & Tetsuhiro Yagi

The match begins with Umino and Yagi doing a little chain wrestling, Yagi backs Umino into the ropes before exchanging chops. Nagata tags in and Finlay gets the tag in as well, Nagata and Finlay both take turns working over the others arm. Nagata would then drop Finlay with a shoulder tackle before causing him to miss a drop kick, Nagata starts working over the arm of Finlay before tagging Umino in. Umino would quickly start attacking Finlay with a few strikes, Finlay recovers and he catches Umino with a back suplex. Yagi tags in and he works with Finlay to hit Umino with a double hip toss, Yagi would then apply the chin lock to Umino. Yagi follows that up by nailing Umino with a back elbow strike for a near fall, Yagi would also trap Umino in the corner while assaulting him with strikes.

Umino recovers and he drops Yagi with a missile drop kick, Nagata tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team. Nagata would get Yagi in a seated position before kicking him in the back multiple times, Yagi recovers to nail a charging Nagata with a drop kick. Finlay tags in and he catches Nagata with a leaping European uppercut, Nagata gets back into the match by nailing Finlay with a drop kick followed by an exploder suplex. Umino tags in and he nails Finlay with a few running back elbow strikes, Umino would then hit Finlay with a missile drop kick for a near fall, Umino follows that up by applying the Boston crab to Finlay until he gets to the ropes. Umino would then catch Finlay with a drop kick followed by a roll up for a near fall, Finlay crushes Umino with a lariat from out of nowhere followed by a stunner for the three count.

Winners: David Finlay & Tetsuhiro Yagi

Michael Elgin & Tomoyuki Oka vs. Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano)

The match begins with Elgin and Ishii exchanging shoulder tackles and other strikes, Elgin would eventually drop Ishii with a shoulder tackle. Elgin follows that up with a delayed vertical suplex on Ishii, Oka tags in and Ishii immediately drops him with strikes. Yano tags in and Oka quickly drops him with a back elbow strike, Oka would then nail Yano with forearm strikes before dropping him with a shoulder tackle. Yano would then get Oka out of the ring before throwing him into the barricade, Yano gets a hold of a turnbuckle pad and he attacks Oka with it. Yano gets Oka back in the ring before throwing him into the exposed corner, Ishii tags in and he nails Oka with a suplex.

Ishii follows that up by applying a single leg crab to a downed Oka, Elgin interferes and Ishii drops him with a shoulder tackle. Yano tags back in and he nails Oka with a hip toss for a near fall, Yano again throws Oka into the exposed corner after raking his eyes. Oka recovers and he nails Yano with a flying forearm strike, Elgin tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposing team. Elgin corners both opponents before landing multiple running clotheslines, Elgin would then hit both opponents with a double fallaway slam for a near fall. Oka tags in and he nails Yano with a shoulder tackle before catching Ishii with an avalanche, Oka and Elgin would then double team Yano.

Oka then catches Yano with a gut wrench suplex for a near fall, Ishii returns and he nails Elgin with a clothesline. Yano uses a referee distraction and low blow to roll up Oka for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano)

Toa Henare & Juice Robinson vs. Suzuki-Gun (Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Takashi Iizuka)

The match begins with Suzuki-Gun jumping their opponents before the bell sounded, Smith Jr and Robinson battle on the arena floor while Henare and Iizuka battle inside of the ring. Henare eventually drops Iizuka with a shoulder tackle, Henare follows that up by nailing Iizuka with a few headbutts. Iizuka recovers to toss Henare out of the ring so Smith Jr can work him over, Smith Jr throws Henare into the barricade a few times. Iizuka drags Henare into the crowd before attacking him with a steel chair, Iizuka gets Henare back in the ring and he stomps away on him. Smith Jr tags in and he mauls Henare with strikes in the corner, Smith Jr would then nail Henare with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall.

Smith Jr follows that up by applying a Boston crab to Henare as Iizuka battles Robinson on the arena floor, Smith Jr releases the hold to catch Henare with an elbow drop to the injured back. Iizuka tags in and he just stomps away on a downed Henare, Henare recover and he drops Iizuka with a flying shoulder tackle. Robinson tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team, Robinson then hits Iizuka with a running clothesline in the corner. Robinson follows that up with a back suplex on Iizuka for a near fall, Robinson waist for Iizuka to get up before landing his patented jabs. Smith Jr tags in and he catches Robinson with a belly to belly suplex for a near fall, Robinson escapes the clutches of Smith Jr to drop him with a clothesline.

Henare tags in and he assaults Smith Jr with a series of strikes, Henare catches Smith Jr with a spear from out of nowhere. Henare and Robinson then take the opportunity to double team Smith Jr, Henare catches Smith Jr swith a top rope shoulder tackle for a near fall. Iizuka drags Robinson out of the ring and they battle on the arena floor, Smith Jr nails Henare with a boot to the face followed by a sit out power bomb for a three count.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Takashi Iizuka)

Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Bushi & Sanada) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki, Zack Sabre Jr. & Taka Michinoku)

The match begins with Michinoku nailing Bushi with a few strikes, Bushi recovers to nail Michinoku with a hurricarana. Sanada tags in and he double teams Michinoku with Naito, Bushi tags back in and he chokes Michinoku with his shirt. Suzuki interferes and he locks Bushi in a rope assisted arm bar, a brawl then breaks out between both teams that spills to the arena floor. Michinoku grabs Bushi and he throws him into the barricade, Sabre Jr also throws Naito into the barricade. Michinoku gets Bushi back in the ring before trying to rip the mask off of his face, Sabre Jr tags in and he applies a modified cattle mutilation to Bushi. Suzuki tags in and he wrenches away on the leg of Bushi, Suzuki eventually applies a modified reverse figure four on Bushi.

Michinoku hits the ring and stomps away on a downed Bushi as the referee was distracted, Sabre Jr tags back in and he wrenches away on the head of Bushi. Bushi recovers to nail Sabre Jr with a drop kick followed byan enzaguri, Naito tags in and he attacks Sabre Jr with a plethora of strikes. Naito drops Sabre Jr with a modified back breaker before landing a basement drop kick, Naito follows that up by landing a neck breaker on Sabre Jr. Naito also decides to just wrench away on the head of Sabre Jr, Sabre Jr recovers to nail Naito with a northern lights slam followed by an arm bar. Naito recovers and he gets into a striking exchange against Sabre Jr, Sabre Jr regains control by applying the octopus stretch to Naito.

Suzuki battles Sanada on the arena floor by applying an arm bar to him, Sabre Jr releases his hold on Naito before Naito recovers to take him out with a tornado DDT. Suzuki and Sanada get tagged in by their respective partners, Sanada nails Suzuki with a drop kick to the knee. Sanada goes for the Paradise Lock and Suzuki catches him in an arm bar instead, Sanada gets free to get into a striking exchange with Suzuki. Suzuki ends the exchange before applying a sleeper hold to Sanada, Suzuki-Gun would then nail Sanada with some triple team attacks. Michinoku tags in and nails Sanada with a super kick for a near fall, members of both teams brawl again on the arena floor. Suzuki returns and he applies the sleeper hold to Sanada and Bushi breaks it up, Sanada catches Michinoku in the Cold Skull and a tap out follows.

Winners: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Bushi & Sanada)

Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Chuckie T, Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi) vs. Kota Ibushi & Bullet Club (Tonga Loa, Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens)

The match begins with Yoshi-Hashi and Ibushi trying to work over the others arms, Yoshi-Hashi applies a headlock to Ibushi before dropping him with a shoulder tackle. Loa and T get tagged in by their respective partners, Loa gains control early by dropping T with a shoulder tackle. T gets Loa down and he wrenches away on his arm, T nails Loa with a drop kick as Chaos hits the ring to quadruple team Loa. Owens distracts T on the ring apron and Loa nails him with a clothesline, Bullet Club then brawls with Chaos on the arena floor. Yoshi-Hashi and Ibushi brawl all the way into the crowd, Ibushi eventually dives on the rafters on the second floor of the arena onto T and Yoshi-Hashi.

Loa gets T back into the ring before just stomping away on him, Loa then drives T into the corner before tagging Takahashi into the match. Takahashi would get T down before landing a basement drop kick, Owens tags in and he rakes T?s back. Ibushi tags in and he gets into a striking exchange with T that sends T to the mat below, Takahashi tags in and he nails T with a boot to the face. T recovers and he crushes a charging Takahashi with a knee strike to the face, Goto tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposing team. Goto then nails Owens with a suplex that lands him on top of Takahashi, Goto follows that up with a spin kick on Takahashi followed by a suplex for a near fall.

Takahashi trips up Goto before landing a basement drop kick, Owens tags in and he attacks Goto with some kicks. Goto recovers and he nails Owens with a modified neck breaker, Okada tags in and he immediately nails Owens with a DDT. Okada goes to the top rope and Owens causes him to leap off before landing a back breaker, Bullet Club hits the ring to triple team Okada. Owens catches Okada with a double stomp before Takahashi lands a basement drop kick, Owens goes for a package pile driver and Yoshi-Hashi prevents that from happening. Everybody from both teams hit the ring to take turns taking each other out, Owens eventually catches Okada with an enzaguri. Okada recover and he nails a charging Owens with a drop kick, Okada applies the cobra clutch and Owens taps out.

Winners: Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Chuckie T, Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi)

NJPW New Japan Cup Opening Round Match: Bad Luck Fale vs. Lance Archer

The match begins with Archer and Fale exchanging shoulder tackles, Archer gets Fale in the corner before mauling him with strikes. Archer also mounts Fale in the corner while landing a few punches, Fale gets Archer out of the corner by landing a power bomb. Archer goes out of the ring and Fale follows him out there to land a few strikes to the back, Fale and Archer brawl into the crowd. Fale grabs Archer and he throws him into a pile of chairs, Fale then buries Archer underneath chairs and the barricade. Archer gets back up and he throws Fale into a bunch of chairs in the crowd, Fale recovers and he again throws Archer into some chairs.

Fale and Archer eventually make it back into the ring before Fale stands on the injured back of Archer, Fale gets off of Archer before choking him on the middle rope. Fale misses an avalanche in the corner and Archer nails him with a few strikes, Fale recovers and he nails a charging Archer with a Samoan drop. Fale misses the follow up splash as Archer moved out of the way, Archer would then drop Fale with a pair of shoulder tackles for a near fall. Archer goes to the top rope to hit Fale with a strike to the back of the neck for another near fall, Archer goes back to the top rope and Fale crotches him. Fale goes for the Bad Luck Fall and winds up nailing an avalanche instead, Fale goes to the top rope and Archer lands a strike before following him up there.

Fale knocks Archer off the ropes and Archer lands another strike to slow his momentum, Archer gets Fale off the ropes before landing a choke slam for a near fall. Fale then catches a charging Archer with a Grenade for a near fall, Fale follows that up by landing a splash for a near fall. Fale hits Archer with a second Grenade for the three count.

Winner: Bad Luck Fale

NJPW New Japan Cup Opening Round Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Taichi

The match begins with Taichi doing his best to lure Tanahashi out of the ring, Tanahashi eventually goes after Taichi and he gets him back in the ring. Taichi gets in the ring first and he stomps away on Tanahashi as he gets back in the ring, Tanahashi recovers and he takes Taichi down with a cross body block from the middle rope. Taichi uses his manager to distract Tanahashi before attacking him with his microphone stand, Taichi drags Tanahashi into the crowd and he throws him into a bunch of chairs. Taichi also tries crushing the head of Tanahashi with the barricade, Taichi waits for Tanahashi to get back into the ring and he just stands on the face of Tanahashi.

Tanahashi starts fighting back and Taichi drops him with a single blow, Tanahashi fights back again and Taichi nails him with a spin kick to the midsection followed by a kick to the back. Tanahashi recovers and he drops Taichi with a flying forearm strike, Tanahashi backs Taichi into the corner while landing a plethora of strikes. Tanahashi goes to the middle rope and he lands a swanton bomb on Taichi for a near fall, Taichi recovers and he gets Tanahashi to the ring apron before dropping him to the arena floor with a rope assisted enzaguri. Taichi drags Tanahashi to the entrance ramp and Tanahashi takes him out with a hurricarana,

Tanahashi waits for Taichi to get back to the ring apron before nailing him with a few dragon screw leg whips in the ropes, Tanahashi then nails Taichi with an inverted dragon screw leg whip. Tanahashi catches Taichi in the Texas Cloverleaf, Taichi eventually gets free and he quickly drops Tanahashi. Taichi then catches Tanahashi with a DDT from out of nowhere, Taichi misses the super kick and then lands a follow up kick to the head for a near fall. Taichi crushes Tanahashi with a power bomb that lands him almost on top of his head, Taichi waits for Tanahashi to get up before landing an enzaguri. Tanahashi recovers to hit Taichi with a spinning neck breaker from out of nowere, Tanahashi then hits a standing Taichi with a High Fly Flow.

Taichi uses a referee distraction to kick Tanahashi low and roll him up for a near fall, Taichi then drops Tanahashi again with an enzaguri followed by a last ride power bomb for a near fall. Tanahashi recovers and he nails Taichi with three straight spinning neck breakers, Yoshinobu Kanemaru distracts the referee so Taichi can attack Tanahashi with the microphone stand. Tanahashi grabs it the referee almost disqualifies him before he gets rid of the stand, Tanahashi then hits Taichi with more spinning neck breakers. Tanahashi nails Taichi with another High Fly Flow for the three count.
