WWE NXT 2.0 Results For 3/15/2022: Santos Escobar vs Cameron Grimes, Miz TV with Dolph Ziggler, A-Kid vs Kushida + More

- The show begins with an "In Memory of Scott Hall" graphic, followed by a video package highlighting the events of NXT Roadblock, including Dolph Ziggler winning the NXT Championship.

- Starting the transmission is Miz TV, hosted by The Miz, with the new NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode as the special guests. Ziggler states that him being NXT Champion just feels right, stating that him and Miz are NXT. Miz would proceed to show video footage of Bron Breakker attempted to chase down Ziggler in his truck, leading to NXT coaching staff neutralizing the situation. Roode would proceed to say that Triple Threat Matches have no rules and he was just following the rules.

While Ziggler continued to brag with Miz and Roode, LA Knight would interrupt proceedings. LA Knight would congratulate Ziggler, but proceeded to challenge Ziggler to a match on the same night. Ziggler would state that he is a fighting champion, but he only wrestles superstars. LA Knight would refute by saying he is not a superstar, but that he is a megastar. The Miz would make the match official, announcing Ziggler vs LA Knight for the NXT Championship in the Main Event of the show.

- Backstage, Cora Jade would be interviewed stating that she will raise hell on Toxic Attraction. Cora Jade would reveal that she took the Championships from them, as well as revealing that Raquel Gonzalez is out for 4-6 weeks due to Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin's attack the previous week.

North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier

Cameron Grimes vs Santos Escobar (w/ Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, and Raul Mendoza)

The match begins with Santos and Grimes locking up, leading to Grimes evading Escobar's offense with a cartwheel. Griimes would attempt an O'Connor Roll pin on Escobar, but Escobar would hold the ropes. They would continue to run the ropes before Escobar connected Grimes with a drop-kick. Escobar and Grimes would exchange kicks in the corner, but Escobar would connect a running dropkick on Grimes. After connecting multiple punches on Grimes, Escobar would send Grimes to the ropes, but Grimes would do the Scissors on Escobar. He would attempt a move on the outside, but Wilde would stop him in the move before Escobar tripped him on ringside before the picture-in-picture commercial break.

During the break, Escobar would continue to have control on the arm of Grimes, including slamming it to the ground before connecting a modified Arm Breaker on Grimes. He would continue with the submission maneuvers with a modified rear-naked choked, which would be followed by an arm-bar from Escobar on Grimes.

Coming back from the commercial break, Grimes would send Escobar to the corner before Escobar would go to the top turnbuckle with an Axe Handle for a count of two. Grimes would connect a Hurranacarana on Escobar before doing a Senton on Escobar on the outside of the ring. Grimes would attempt a top-rope Cave In, but Escobar would catch him with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Escobar would run the ropes before being caught with a Running Bodyslam. Grimes would attempt the cave in, but Escobar would cath him with the Phantom Driver for the pinfall victory, qualifying to the North American Championship Ladder Match.

Winner: Santos Escobar (w/ Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, and Raul Mendoza)

- After the match, there would be a video package with Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray, where they would state that they will win the Dusty Cup and beat Toxic Attraction for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.

- Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo would be seen backstage before Toxic Attraction would come in to ask them if they had seen Cora Jade and their championships. Choo and Kai would ask Toxic Attraction why they attacked Raquel the previous week, which Mandy Rose would state that they did it because they could.

A-Kid vs Kushida (w Ikeman Jiro)

The match would begin with A-Kid and Kushida locking up, with Kushida working on A-Kid's arm. A-Kid and Kushida would continue to exchange submissions before the Spanish wrestler connected a arm-drag and dropkick on Kushida. Kushida would attempt an arm-bar on A-Kid, but A-Kid would continue to leave the maneuvers before getting caught on a Cross Face on Kushida, before A-Kid escaped. Kushida would do a Boston Crab on A-Kid, but A-Kid would escape successfully. A-Kid would do a German suplex on Kushida, followed by a Northern Light Suplex on Kushida for a near fall.

Kushida would punt A-Kid on the arm, butA-Kid would hit an inseguri kick on Kushida, and A-Kid would do a variant of the Rainbow DDT on Kushida for the pinfall victory, qualifying him for a match against Grayson Waller in a North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifer.

Winner: A-Kid

- Santos Escobar would be interviewed backstage after his win against Cameron Grimes, where he stated that he is the greatest Luchador NXT has ever seen. After this, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio would join him in the interview, with Dominik stating that Rey is the greatest. Rey would proceed to say that Dominik is the one to carry over his legacy, followed by a confused reaction from Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza. Dominik would proceed to challenge either of the two Legao Del Fantasma Members to a match, which Mendoza accepted.

Sarray vs Tiffany Stratton

Prior to the match, there's video recap of how the match between Sarray and Tiffany Stratton came about, showcasing Sarray costing Tiffany Stratton her match against Fallon Henley. After the video package, Tiffany Stratton would attack Sarray from behind while she was making her way to the ring. The match officially began with Stratton amusing Sarray, with Sarray missing the Dropkick on Stratton. Stratton would do a Cartwheel Splash on Sarray, followed by a Phoenix Splash on Sarray for the pinfall win.

Winner: Tiffany Stratton

- GUNTHER would confront LA Knight giving him credit for talking his way to a World Championship match, and LA Knight would state that he is looking at the new NXT Champion. LA Knight would leave the scene by telling GUNTHER that he has to prepare for a title match.

- Coming back from the commercial break, Jacy Jayne would attempt to retrieve her NXT Woemn' sTag Team Championship, but it would be a set up to a trap as she would be locked up in a cage by Jade, leaving Jayne stuck in the cage.

- Tommasso Ciampa would walk to the ring to cut a promo, with loud "Ciampa sucks" chants from some of the members of the crowd. Ciampa would talk about gratitude, mentioning this has been his life and stating that he is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the biggest wrestling company on the planet. He would continue to reminisce from his time in the company, including the multiple eras of NXT and how they evolved with him, stating that it wasn't about Do It Yourself but rather a case of the crowd doing it with him, mentioning TakeOver: New Orleans as the moment he believed the crowd and him told the world that he was the guy.

Ciampa would continue to be grateful for it as he never left NXT and the fans never left, but he also mentioned that he didn't know what would be next, mentioning that he doesn't know what would be the perfect Fairytale Ending for him. He mentioned that he had the chance to have that perfect ending, but he lost, having him wondering what is the best way to close the NXT chapter out. He mentioned that he did not know when would be the best time to say goodbye, but he would thank the fans for everything.

Prior to leaving the ring, Tony D'Angelo would walk in the ring with a crow bar, but he would drop it on the ground and would state that he had been wondering who would be the guy to help prepel Tony D'Angelo to the next level, and Ciampa was that guy. D'Angelo would challenge Ciampa to match at Stand and Deliver, and Ciampa would accept before being hit with a knee to the groin by D'Angelo. D'Angelo would state that it was always him that he would become the new Don of NXT.

Persia Perotta vs Indi Hartwell

Interestingly, both would walk to the ring together before shaking hands. Perotta would push Hartwell to the ground before hitting a mule kick on Hartwell for a near fall. Perotta would attempt to rip the wedding ring off Hartwell, but Hartwell would proceed to counter by connecting a Clothesline-Bulldog combination for a near fall. Duke Hudson would attempt to distract Indi Hartwell, but Dexter would appear to stop Hudson's attempt. Indi Hartwell would do a roll-up on Perotta for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Duke Hudson would kiss Perisa Perotta, which would be followed by Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis also kissing. Things would continue to heat up until both Perotta and Hartwell would rip the t-shirts off Hudson and Lumis before kissing them in the ground, ending the segment with Hudson and Perotta kissing.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

- Gigi Dolin would be seen backstage attempting to get her NXT Women's Tag Team Championship off a trash can bin, but Cora Jade would close the bin with a forklift. Jade would proceed to state that she doesn't talk to trash before leaving the scene.

Raul Mendoza (w/ Santos Escobar, Elektra Lopez & Joaquin WIlde) vs Dominik Mysterio (w/ Rey Mysterio)

The match would begin with both locking up, before Dominik connected Scissors on Mendoza, but Medoza would stand up. Mysterio would do a Spring rope arm drag on Mendoza. Dominik would go to the middle turnbuckle, but Mendoza would wipe him to the ground. Mysterio would do a Springboard crossbody on Mendoza before Mysterio connected head scissors on Mendoza. Dominik would be distracted by Elektra Lopez, but Fallon Henley, Brooks & Jensen would distract Legado del Fantasma before Santos was punch in the head by Rey Mysterio. Domink Mysterio would do a 619 with a Frog Splash for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio (w/ Rey Mysterio)

- After the match, there was a video package showcasing the career of Scott Hall, after it was announced his passing on Monday March 14, 2022. The video package showcase his run as Razor Ramon, his run as a member of the NWO in WCW and many other iconic moments from the Bad Guy. You can see a recompilation of multiple tributes to Scott Hall in here.

- Coming back from the commercial break, Cora Jade would try to drive out of the Performance Center with the NXT Women's Championship, but Mandy Rose would attack Cora Jade from within Cora's Rage Drover. Mandy Rose would challenge Cora Jade for the title, followed by Rose spray-painting Jade's back.

- The Creed Brothers would walk to the ring to call out the people that attacked them the previous week in the parking lot, which would lead to MSK walking into the ring. MSK would state that they did not attack The Creed Brothers, but a fan would audible shout "bullshit" on Wes Lee. IMPERIUM would talk down on both teams and would challenge both of the teams to a Triple Threat tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Both teams would accept, with IMPERIUM stating that they fear no one.

- Cameron Grimes would be interviewed, with him stating that he signed to NXT to become a champion with the hopes of coming back home to make his dad proud, but he believed that he continued to disappoint him because he comes short every time.

- After the commercial break, Malcolm Bivens would interrogate both Grizzled Young Veterans and the team of Edris & Malik to see who attacked The Creed Brothers, but Malik would state that he attack the Toxic Lounge Butlers to be with Mandy Rose. Bivens would respond to Malik Blade by stating that "It is only March", followed by GYV denying that they attacked Creed Brothers. Zack Gibson would state that they would have attacked The Creed Brothers if it meant that they would get a NXT Tag Team Championship Match. The Creed Brothers would challenge Grizzled Young Veterans to a rematch for the next week.

NXT Championship Match

LA Knight vs Dolph Ziggler (c) (w/ Robert Roode)

The match would begin with LA Knight shoulder blocking Ziggler to the ground, leaving the NXT Champion stunned. Ziggler would try to send Knight around the turnbuckles before putting Knight in a headlock, which would be continued with a Shoulder block from Ziggler. Ziggler would continue to run the ropes, but Knight would connect Ziggler with a clothesline for a near fall. LA Knight would do a neckbreaker on Ziggler for a near fall, but he would start to favor his ribs. Ziggler would walk back into the ring, but he would be caught wth a power slam from before the picture-in -picture commercial break.

Ziggler would send Knight back in the ring before kicking Knight multiple times in the ribs. Ziggler would continue to strike Knight in the corner and would continue to wear down Knight with strikes to the ribs before putting him in a modified sleeper hold.

Returning from the commercial break, Ziggler would connect a dropkick on Knight's ribs on the corner for a near fall, and would continue with another Sleeper Hold on Knight, which would transition to a Camel Clutch. Knight would send Ziggler to the corner to break the hold. Ziggler would attempt a Leg Drop on Knight, but Knight would catch him with a powerbomb before hitting a running knee on Ziggle in the corner. LA Knight would do a running Elbow drop on Ziggler for a near fall. Knight would place Ziggler to the top turnbuckle, but Ziggler would headbutt Knight to the ground, but Knight would pop-up and connect a Super-plex for a near fall. LA Knight would attempt the burning hammer on Ziggler, but Roode would distract Knight before Knight got to connect the Burning Hammer, but Roode would break the pinfall by placing Ziggler's foot on the bottom rope. Knight would attempt the BFT, but he would be sent by Ziggler to two corners before hitting a Super kick for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Bron Breakker would come into the ring and challenge Ziggler to a rematch at Stand & Deliver before punching Robert Roode in the face. Ziggler would accept, ending the show with both champion and challenger standing tall.
