This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT. Tonight we have a great show as in our main event Adam Cole defends his NXT North American Championship against Oney Lorcan, Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano go face to face and much more so be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST for all of the action!
-Undisputed Era come out and talk about all of gold they've won and Adam talks about his North American Championship defense tonight against Oney Lorcan as well as Roderick Strong talking about why he joined Undisputed Era at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
WWE NXT North American Championship Match
Adam Cole (c) vs Oney Lorcan
Oney is in control to start the match, focusing on the injured ribs of Cole before Adam comes back an enzuigiri and several stomps in the corner into a Yakuza kick. Adam hits an ushigaroshi before they exchange forearms, then Oney drops Adam with a knee into a running blockbuster for a near fall. Adam rolls out of the ring and the medical team come to check on him at ringside before Roderick Strong hits a back suplex onto the apron with Oney. Undisputed Era then roll Oney back into the ring before Adam hits the Last Shot for the pin and the win.
Winner: Adam Cole defeats Oney Lorcan via pinfall with the Last Shot to retain his NXT North American Championship.
-We get a video package for Shayna Baszler as we go to commercial.
-We come back from commercial to a video package for Bianca Belair.
Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli vs Heavy Machinery
Tucker and Moss start the match off before HM drop Sabbatelli and Moss, then Tucker hits a high angle backdrop. HM hit the Compactor before standing on Moss and Sabbatelli, then Moss hits a flapjack before beating Otis down and backing him into his corner. Moss and Sabbatelli start tagging in and out and isolating Otis until he finally tags Tucker in after Moss accidentally spears Sabbatelli. Sabbatelli then decided to leave Moss hanging and leave when he goes to tag him before HM hit the Compactor once again for the pin and the win.
Winner: Heavy Machinery defeat Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli via pinfall when they hit Moss with the Compactor.
-After the match Heavy Machinery call out the War Raiders.
-Johnny Gargano comes out for his NXT Championship against Aleister Black before he's attacked by Tommaso Ciampa on the ramp. Johnny is then taken away in an ambulance before Aleister Black comes out only to be interrupted by SANITY who surround him and Aleister happily accepts a match with Eric.
NXT Championship Match
Aleister Black (c) vs Eric Young
They lock up to start the match before grappling and exchanging standing switches, then Eric drops Black with a back elbow for a quick one count. They counter each other until Aleister hits a kitchen sink and sends Eric out of the ring, then Eric gets back in the ring as Black is sitting in the center of the ring. Black drops Eric with a series of punches and kicks before Eric hangs Black in the corner with a choke after Wolfe tries to interfere. Eric hits an elbow drop to the back of the neck of Black before hitting a neckbreaker for a near fall. Aleister comes back with a flurry of offense before hitting a springboard moonsault for a near fall, then Eric counters a modified octopus stretch into a DVD for a near fall.
Black then hits the Black Mass for the pin and the win after Eric gets caught on the top and sent out onto the apron before sliding back into the ring.
Winner: Aleister Black retains his NXT Championship by defeating Eric Young via pinfall with the Black Mass kick.
