WWE and NXT combined to have four touring groups out traversing the United States this past week.
The road to Evolution, Crown Jewel, and TakeOver: Los Angeles continued with Raw and SmackDown out making their usual loops, while NXT had two separate crews on the road.
For months, Raw has been headlined by some combination of The Shield, Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre and the trend continued. Two of the three events on the latest loop had a main event with Ziggler and McIntyre, the current Raw tag champs, losing in non-title matches to Dean Ambrose and Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Elsewhere on Raw, Bobby Lashley appears to be embracing his recent heel turn, attacking Finn Balor after wins over Elias, and then facing Balor in singles matches that ended after interference by Lashley's manager, Lio Rush.
Over on SmackDown, two of the three shows were headlined by WWE Champion AJ Styles defending against Shinsuke Nakamura, the current U.S. Champion.
NXT's traveling group saw NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa, NXT Women's Champion Kairi Sane, and NXT North American Champion Ricochet making defenses of their titles, as part of a crew that included Velveteen Dream, The Undisputed Era, the Street Profits and more in action. Meanwhile, back in Florida, Matt Riddle, the longtime friend of Fightful, remained undefeated in an NXT ring. On the latest loop of Florida, Riddle scored singles wins over Dominik Dijakovic and Luke Menzies.
