Rey Mysterio States That He Offered To Do Spot In WCW Where Kevin Nash Launched Him Into Side Of A Truck

Mysterio speaks about the moment with Nash.
Rey Mysterio was the focus of a panel at River City Wrestling Con (via Going Ringside). During the discussion, Mysterio was asked about a spot he was part of in WCW when Kevin Nash launched him into the side of a truck.
Mysterio went on to reveal that he offered to do that spot.
“I offered to do that… When you’re young, you don’t think about repercussions, which is normal in our business. You want to make things look good and you’re willing to give whatever it takes to make that segment, that 30 seconds or five seconds stand out, and at the time, we never — at least I never thought it would still be talked about 25 years later. But it is — 30 years later.” Mysterio was asked if he realized he’d done something memorable and replied, “No, not at all. No. To me, it was normal. Obviously, it wasn’t,” Mysterio laughed.
The WWE and AAA Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is the current on-screen General Manager of Lucha Libre AAA. He was in action on the 6/8 Monday Night Raw and challenged Penta for the Intercontinental Championship.
