Ricochet Thanks New Japan Following IWGP Jr. Tag Team Title Loss

Ricochet seemed to indicate that he may no longer be with Taguchi Japan or New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Ricochet gave a post-match interview right after he and Ryusuke Taguchi lost the IWGP Jr. Tag Team titles to Roppongi 3K at King of Pro Wrestling on October 9.

"We lost, it was my fault" he said following a speech from Taguchi. "Coach, sorry. But thank you for everything, thank you so much. Today wasn't obviously my best day. I got things going on in my head. But today is my fault. Thank you coach for having me in Taguchi Japan, one of the best groups I've ever been in. Thank you New Japan, thank you fans. Sorry guys."

There has been much speculation over the future of Ricochet and where he could land next. His contract with Lucha Underground has expired, and will be free to work in other places once the season concludes in a few weeks. He even cut a promo during the G1 Climax in USA tour back in July saying that a "underground fighting company" was holding him back. Rumors of course would point to WWE, but it is currently unknown where he will end up in the future, or if he's even leaving New Japan.

Regardless of his future in New Japan, Ricochet is still scheduled for a date with PWG. As the 2017 BOLA tournament winner, he is set to challenge current champion Chuck Taylor in a match at All Star Weekend 13 - Night Two on October 21.
