Ryan Clancy Details His Experience Wrestling In Ring Of Honor, Says It Was ‘Awesome’ To Face Nick Wayne In Philadelphia
Ryan Clancy comments on wrestling Nick Wayne in Ring of Honor.
Over the past few years, Ryan Clancy has worked several dates for AEW/ROH. His first match for AEW took place in 2022, when he worked a Dark taping against Powerhouse Hobbs. Clancy later wrestled two more matches, one for AEW and one for ROH, respectively.
Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Clancy was asked about his experience working for AEW/ROH.
“The last time I was there, or at least the last time that I wrestled for Ring of Honor was against my friend Nick Wayne. We had an incredible match honestly, that was a long time coming. We had both been a fan of each other’s work for a few years and for some reason never got the opportunity to tie up together. So being able to do that in Philly, I grew up in New York, so it’s only an hour and a half, two hours from where I grew up. So similar on the East Coast, on my coast. To be able to have that experience in front of a large audience with someone that I admired and someone who’s so young has accomplished so much was awesome.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Clancy reacted to MJF calling him ugly and that needed plastic surgery. Read more about it here.
